Wine Tasting Programme:
More than wine tasting lessons, we will be having an illustrated wine tasting session, which in turn will help us acquire notions to evaluate in order to appreciate and make distinctions.
Due to their professional experience the experts will be providing valuable information to understand the whole wine making process and wine’s “lifetime” concept.
During the wine tasting sessions the following topics will de discussed:
1. Wine tasting stages.
2. Making white wine..
3. Primary, secondary & tertiary aromas.
4. Making Rosé Wine. Types & Varieties .
5. Making Red Wine. Types & Varieties.
6. Treatments. Clarification, physical & biological stabilization, filtration, etc.
7. Ageing (“crianza”). Oxidative y biological.
8. Conservation. Necessary conditions.
9. Wine’s “lifetime”.
The Tasting Sessions:
The wine tasting sessions will be held at “El Palacio de la Serna” in a Hall with the ideal conditions for an event of that nature. There will always be at least one person serving the wines.
Four main wine types will be tasted along with another four varieties, which will be tasted simultaneously to appreciate particular details. Being this a subjective wine tasting session, the comparative session will clear up every loose concept.
Group sizes can range from 2 to a maximum of 12 or 14 participants (depending on the wine glass types to be used).
The Tasting Sessions Include:
- The wines are carefully selected so the participants (usually amateurs) can easily recognize the important qualities for each wine.
- Descriptive wine tasting and other related winemaking topics will be explained.
